Certain foot positions play havoc with the Achilles tendon

Achilles tendon disorders, and other lower-extremity problems, bedevil ballet dancers. Explaining how and why these injuries tend to occur among these performers are doctor of physical therapy Michelle Dolphin and Nicole Harry, one of the physical therapy students who worked on the recently published study. Dolphin is a faculty member in Upstate's College of Health Professions and specializes in orthopedic physical therapy.
